1. Click on the [Start] button, go to [All Programs], [Accessories], [Communications], and select
[New Connection Wizard] as shown below.

 

Note: Initially, you may or may not see a Location Information screen as shown below. If you do, simply verify
that the country says United States, enter the area code 330 in the area code box, choose the type of phone
system you use, then click OK. You will then be taken to the New Connection Wizard.



2. The New Connection Wizard should appear as shown below. Click Next.



3. Verify that Connect to the Internet is chosen as shown. Click Next.



4. Choose Set up my connection manually as shown. Click Next.



5. Verify that Connect using a dial-up modem is chosen. Click Next.



6. Type in Valkyrie Internet Service in the ISP Name box as shown. Click Next.



7. Type in the correct Valkyrie Internet Service phone number in the Phone number box that’s local for you.
Click Next.

Note: The local numbers for Valkyrie Internet Service service are:
Millersburg Area: 330-674-7184
Wooster Area: 330-263-9381
Sterling: 330-939-0003



8. Type in your the log-in name you requested in the User name box.
9. Type in the password you requested in the Password box and the Confirm password box.
Note: Your User name and password are case sensitive. All letters should be lower-case.
10. Verify that the last 3 boxes are checked. Click Next.



11. Place a checkmark in the box to Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop. Click Finish.



Note: After clicking on Finish you’ll be taken back to your desktop. You’ll notice a new
icon on your desktop that looks like the picture below. Double clicking on this icon will
open a connection screen. Your Internet Explorer and Outlook Express should be configured
to automatically bring up a connection screen when you start either one of those programs also.
