Windows ME Dialer

1. Click on the [Start] button, go to [Settings], and
select [Dial-Up Networking] as shown below.

2. Double-click on the Make New Connection icon.

3. Type Valkyrie as shown, then click on Next.

5. Enter the Area code and Telephone number for Valkyrie as
shown. Click on Next.

Note: Verify that the phone number you’re using is local for you.

6. The following screen will appear. Click on Finish.

Note: You’ll notice a new icon named Valkyrie has been created
in your Dial-Up Connections window.

7. Right click on your Valkyrie icon and choose Properties as shown.

8. You should be looking the the following screen below.
Continue by clicking on the Networking tab.

9. Your Networking tab should look like the example below.
Click on the TCP/IP Settings... button.

10. Your TCP/IP Settings should look like the example
below. Click on the OK button.

11. Click on the Security tab.
12. Type in your username in the User name box.
13. Type in your password in the Password box.
Note: The rest of this screen should be blank.
14. Click on the Scripting tab.

15. The File name box should be blank.
16. The Start terminal screen minimized box should
be checkmarked.
17. Click on the Multilink tab.

18. The Do not use additional devices option radio
button should be chosen.
19. Click on the Dialing tab.

20. Choose (checkmark) This is the default Internet
connection.
21. Verify that the Always dial my default connection
radio button is chosen.
22. Click OK.

23. Double left click your Valkyrie icon to open the
Connect To screen.

24. Click on the Dial Properties... button.
Note: Leave the Dialing from box as it is.

25. Verify that the area code is entered correctly in the Area code box.
Note: If you have call waiting, and would like it disabled while you’re
connected to the net, put a checkmark in the To disable call
waiting, dial box and Choose *70, from the drop-down menu.
26. Click on the Area Code Rules... button.

27. Put a checkmark in the Always dial the area code
(10-digit dialing) box. The rest of this screen should be blank.
28. Click OK which will take you back to the Dialing
Properties screen.
29. Click Apply, then OK on the Dialing Properties screen.
