1. Double-click the My Computer icon.

2. Double-click the Dial-Up Networking icon.

3. Click the OK button.

4. In the Name the new phonebook entry box, type Valkyrie.
5. Check the box next to I know all about phonebook entries and would
rather edit the properties directly.
6. Click the Finish button.

7. In the Phone number box, type your local Valkyrie access number.
8. Uncheck the box next to Use another port if busy.
Note: Verify that you’re using a phone number that’s local for you.

9. Click on the Server tab.
10. Verify that the TCP/IP box is checked.
11. Verify that the Enable software compression box is checked.
12. Uncheck the box next to Enable PPP LCP extensions.
13. Click the TCP/IP Settings... button.

14. Verify that Server assigned IP address and Server assigned
name server addresses options have been chosen.
15. Verify that Use IP header compression and Use default
gateway on remote network boxes are checked.
16. Click OK.
17. Click on the Script tab.

18. Click the None radio button in the After dialing (login) area.
19. Click on the Security tab.

20. Click the Accept any authentication including clear text radio
button in the Authentication and encryption policy area.
21. Click the OK button.
